Ford Genuine is ideal, as your Defender like mine was a Ford motor and it IS acceptable in this instance to use Ford parts.
There is no compatibility issues with the LR system in this instance. If you use the 'Search' function in the bar above, you will likely find more info on this. I have even put up the P/N you are looking for. Trying searching 'MAF and MAP Sensors' you should be able to find it. LR are charging practically double the price if not even more for these parts.. I use Holts brake cleaner, both will work.
Blow though in the direction of airflow arrow on the top. And re-fit in the identical orientation of removal taking note of the airflow direction arrow. ![]() ⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

I just ordered a new one off of eurocarparts they currently have a 50% sale with free delivery i think it cost about £45 for the new one
