Click image to enlarge Starter slot is shaved out, adapter plate is installed and red toctite used to keep everythin in its place. Gearbox will be goin in today. With LOF clutch master, and roadspec clutch. Again, red loctite on all the bolts so it all stays together. Maf is all done, and all the sharp edges smoothed out. Will give it a try once the whole car is back together again... Click image to enlarge Lookin forward to this mod. Lastly emailed coltcams in the states, am gonna see if they can make me a cam to give me a bit more all around power cam so i may get a bit more from my lil girl. Will measure the installed height of the valve springs as well as fully open compression so there is no guessin work. Can't leave well enough alone |

Had a small issue with the adapter, had to drill out a 10mm hole and reinstall everything again.
We installed the new flywheel then added in the LOF clutch kit... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Found out my last clutch was the problem in my old gearbox. It was eating away at my flywheel. Its fine, i am already knee deep in debt so out with the old and in with the new Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge ashcroft rear output shaft fix also installed... TC was swapped to 1.1:1, 1st gear will be lighter, and cruising speed will be about 2400rpm at 130kph ... Can't leave well enough alone |

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Ran into a snag, the brackets dont work, not because its 20/25mm back but narrower. This should be included in the kit. We are waitin on a tdci setup to roll into the shop so we may take measurements, but all of them are busy enjoyin the 4x4 season weather. Can't leave well enough alone |

Gearbox mounts were fabricated, the td5 and puma do not share any positions.
Measured up my propshaft lengths. And flange angles. Click image to enlarge Looks like i may get away with using the original propshafts after all. Front extension from fully closed is 55mm, with a max of 100mm, and the rear is 65mm with a max of 100mm also. Can't leave well enough alone |

I have been down for a while for i forgot to fill the front diff with oil. I got 34km from my workshop before the pinion bearing failed. It was a good thing as my wheel spacers also were lose and the drivers wheel almost fell off on the highway.
So after i got the new diff, and chatted with a Chinese wheel manufacturing company. I am road worthy once again, and loving it. 125kph is now a hair over 2000rpm, and 2500rpm is a comfortable 150kph. Everything is running properly and there are no immediate issues. I have a digital meth controller, but i had to program it to start at 95%, thus the need to go to a larger MAF. should help drop the Volts so i have a larger scale to run my meth in. The wheels are to my custom offset of -20 and we will only add in a 10mm spacer to give me a final offset of -30, as with my current tire selection i need that extra neg offset to properly clear the trailing arms. Much like on the spectre wheels, but instead of 15/16" i am 20" dia. Can't leave well enough alone |

Correction, my speed healer wasnt calibrated properly
120kph is 2250, and 130kph is 2500rpm. Still easy enough and not so heavy on the engine Have my new 80mm maf ready, but i need to buy a p38 4.6 airbox to work. Click image to enlarge Stock left new one right. Both ends basically fit in the inlet. And i raised the maf so its less resistance in the tube. Dont need the iat sensor. The inlet will not fit into the airbox. It is 5mm larger. No worries, should feel great once everything is installed.
This partial curfew just gives me more time to think and search for solutions. I hear the lid might be interchangeable. So i just have to modify it to fit the temp sensor. Can't leave well enough alone |

Presumably you are re-scaling the MAF due to the increase in tube size??

I have the d2 v8 maf now and i did not have to rescale. The thor rr maf sensor is the same, the tube is just bigger. I feel again i would not need to rescale, but lets see. My stock maf was 2.5v at idle, my newer maf was the same. My third maf i am hopin to have a lower idle reference Can't leave well enough alone

She is a diesel so i am not too worried about it. And its 5mm larger than the other, would run perfectly as an upgrade for a v8, as they are rich higher up in the rpm range. Can't leave well enough alone
