England 2002 Defender 90 Td5 HT Epsom Green
I hope 'the era wanted' wants to actually park the thing.

I am not convinced JLR ever tested it in a UK parking space.

The reason I say is that today I popped in to Godalming and took my wife's Velar and not the 90. Not wanting to sound like Goldilocks and the Three Bears the first space between two cars was too small, the second one was better (I could open the door and get one leg out only), the third space had a smaller car next to it so I could actually get out of the car - the driver to the left would have not chance of getting into their car.

The Velar is narrower than the new Defender. The 110 is longer than a standard UK parking space and the 130 will have no hope.

I was coming round to liking it but I think its bulk is going to be off putting.

Oh murder!
totally agree!

I get that 4x4s are big cars and need to be big to deliver the space people now expect but again the previous Defender although big still had a nimbleness.

I didnt know the new Defender was so bulky. I imagine to help with road noise but whats the trade off really!
