Centre dash light bleeding though
I did some work on my 90 today. Changed the clock bulb which was gone before so it now illuminates as it should which was a success.
I also had a few bulbs gone again on the heater slider controls again. Rolling Eyes
I decided this time to give LED's a go the new SMD 3 directional SMD chip type, in the lower control assembly.
I'm quite happy with the outcome they are crisp white, the green dash filters obviously turn this green as it should.
There is the odd lighter and darker bits but that's pretty typical as standard with ordinary bulbs!

There is one annoying issue I have, and it doesn't seem to matter what centre dash I use. (I have two.)
Or what bulbs or type I use but some white light bleeding comes though in the lower edge aperture just below the 1 2 3 fan speed slider.
It's quite annoying as I've tried two different dashes, both have done it in the same location.
Yes, it is worse since this bulb change but other than this niggle I'm happy with it.
They'll run cooler, abd last longer.

It seems to be the part between the centre dash and the black plastic slider there seems to be a little gap there.
I imagine me removing then re-fitting the dash has slightly disturbed it.
The black plastic slider seems to be not quite so snug to the dash as it should be but obviously cannot be too tight.
I notice look at the pics I've taken there are a few screws M2.5 maybe?
On the slider assembly.
I wonder if a washer could go behind those between the white plastic assembly and black slider and that would close that gap up?

It's just a little annoying as in that vicinity all the lighting is good and green, no problem but you get a little white border in places around those slider controls and obviously it looks wrong and is annoying.
It's the upper one mainly that's the culprit.

It could be that the slider is a little out of true due to work done in the past, I had a control cable kink on the lower slider I had to replace but the upper slider may have got moved around a bit.

What do you think?

Here is a photo or two of the culprit: ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

I did suspect I may not be the only one hence mentioning it.
I’m happy with the result, just that annoying little issue. I have some of these LED chips left over if anyone wants a set?

I haven’t counted how many I have left but I think there are at least a set or two left. If anyone wants some let me know FOC.

I have a few more pics somewhere. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

This was the clock repair. Not an LED, I don’t have any more of these but RDX do them. About £6 vs LR wanting you to buy a new clock! @ £60 approx when it was just a blown bulb.

Simon - Yep, course you can. Straight swap. Just be sure to check polarity is correct orientation and they are working before putting the dash back in.Pop me your address by ‘PM’ and I can stick them in the post for you. 👍🏻 ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

For the dash bulb RDX via eBay.
It is an incandescent bulb with green cover, I don't think there is any LED solution.
LR don't sell any spare bulbs or parts only the clock its self for over £60 a piece. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Fitted today and wow much brighter thanks Steve. I put a little sausage shaped piece of blacktac along the area you were having the light bleed from as I was too and this has worked to prevent the bleed and the functions all work correctly too on the heater sliders Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90
