Im Still wound up why a snorkel can be an extra £50 , Not exactly going to make a 300tdi go at warp speed with or without it .
Would like to take a look at the auto express TIM , Another thing i guess i need to declare is an after market radio , Would that be a reason not to pay out . Has everyone declared theres if changed . Im paranoid now lol , ie what about dash bulbs from white to green , Boost gauge . |

Bongo I spent a whole Saturday morning sending Aplan a list of every mod, dated fitted, cost etc, I had to keep looking at the Defender because I couldn’t remember every mod , apart from scaring myself how much I have spent I know every single mod has been declared totally it’s worth making sure every mod is listed just to be on the safe side. 2015 HT XS 90

Will do ive come this far i may as well dot the i's , ie radio/cd , couple of gauges and dual charge . I doubt it will effect it much, soon as the proposal comes i will contact them and get them added before it starts .

I can’t imagine it will add much if anything, when I changed my exhaust a couple of weeks ago, I rang them (after I had brought it but before fitting, should have asked pre purchase ) let them know I was planning to fit it and there was no increase whatsoever 2015 HT XS 90

I”m currently with NFU and advised them I was thinking of doing a BAS2 remap from 122bhp to 165bhp...they have just advised that their underwriter is more than happy to accommodate this change - for a 30% increase in the premium!
Interestingly , no increase for any of the many mods including new ICE, LEDs, wheels, wheel carrier etc etc. |

NFU are a joke when it comes to modifications. I am sure our previous policy document included:
- Alloy wheels - the only one they actually specifically listed! - Additional engine cooling - aftermarket inter cooler - Special adaption for disabled use (e.g. tail lift or winch) - as they claimed they didnt have 'winch' listed - Other modification x 4 - they apparently couldn't list spotlights, rock sliders, snorkel etc. 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

^^^^ Unfortunately, I agree. My local NFU were over twice the premium based on a standard 110 compared to A-Plan including all the modification. As soon as I mentioned remap they didn't even want to quote! No consistancy!
Going back 20 years the NFU insured my converted 90V8 as a standard diesel turbo James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers |

I had a fairly interesting experience with Adrian Flux and NFU (ended up with Flux as was almost £600 cheaper).
In both cases, my Twisted wheels were not covered as an extra value due to them being aftermarket and not manufacturer fitted. Neither company was aware of what a removable steering wheel was/were unable to input it into the system. NFU tried to input it as Interior trim upgrade, and Adrian Flux told me they couldn't put it down. For reference my insurance is £900 for a 25y/o, 3years NCB |

Not everything i told them about is on my policy and i queried this , They said they cant always enter everything into the system like rock sliders and spots as there's no category for certain items , but said as long as its in there notes your good to go .
Does make you wonder , ie if its ON there list they charge you stupid , if not on the list its a free mod . |
