It's not hard to find LR based vehicles in the business and you have to wonder why they chose a competitors vehicle - was it a better choice for them than allowing a previous gen vehicle on the shoot and suffer the obvious side by side comparisons?

I think it is much more likely they just selected a film company based on their bid for the job and didn't even give a thought to the camera car. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

If this is not a troll i don't know what is, nice try matey Wink You forgot the film crew range rovers from topgear.
Having said that, fact wise the camera set up on the cruiser looks about 100 grand more expensive then these makeshift setups(which in themselves are not easy or cheap, suspension and most of the car has to be modified. LR more than likely put it to private tender or chose an agency based on previous work with LR or their previous work in general, the cars they use would not have even been given a second thought, rather the equipment and capability to film in remote kazakhstan

Saw a Kia Soul EV yesterday, and it does look extraordinarily like it - just smaller. Since JLR were threatening to sue Ineos for their design, shouldn't Kia be looking to its lawyers? Now left.

You do realize LR released the concept for this in 2011 right, kia in 2013 Rolling Eyes but i agree its got 4 wheels a 4 doors, they might habe a case against Kia Wink Rolling with laughter
