That must be close to the towing limit, but I’m sure your Landrover was empty and no passengers.....

This morning has been a morning of two easy jobs,

Firstly replacing the standard size rear plate with one that’s 65mm narrower but still “fully” legal from a company called fourdot not cheap but a great product extremely well made and presented and excellent customer service

Then having seen these in this months LRO ordered a set and very impressed they are a hard plastic threaded inside so no worries of them binding due to bi metal corrosion, they are bulkier than normal dust caps, easy to fit Rolling with laughter and very accurate I checked them against two other tyre gauges I own but keep in my garage so this makes checking pressures very easy Thumbs Up

Then a trial of two new Meguiars products a new car wash and a 3 in 1 wax

Very impressed with the car wash and I have used ALOT on my Defender as some of you may know Rolling with laughter
You need to follow the instructions by placing it on the wash mitt rather than the conventional bucket or two bucket method, removes bugs easily, after washing and rinsing down wipe over with a decent microfibre cloth and the results are very impressive Thumbs Up

So then to try the 3 in 1 wax, easy to apply wipe on in a circular motion working the wax to cover swirl marks then allow to dry and buff with a decent microfibre cloth and the results are very good. Perfect for that quick polish if you haven’t time to spend alday or the desire too Rolling with laughter an hour and the Defender was polished...... omg what am I going to do now with my free time!!

Halfords currently have 20% off all Meguiars products too.

Just for clarity I have no connection to any of the companies or products whatsoever. 2015 HT XS 90

Nice one Sulisuli. Looks like a morning very well spent.

I haven't seen those tyre pressure caps before. Think I'll order a set.
Reg plate really suits your truck. Looks a smidgen high though. A fiver says you'll be adjusting that at some point.

Boat successfully dropped at its mooring , boat trailers normally provide an eventful journey but not today 😅

Zed I measured and remeasured before offering the plate up because the self adhesive strip to mount it with are nearly impossible to remove, so it’s staying where it is, perhaps the new photo I have posted in the original posting looks better?

As I won’t be moving it, do you want to pop the fiver in a charity pot Rolling with laughter

The dust caps are really good I’m impressed I’m going to get 4 spares to put on the horse trailer next Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90

Ha! Obviously it depends on where you take the measurements from but from the photo i reckon down a bit would be spot on. I'll let you sleep on it and if you haven't got the heatgun out by tomorrow I'll paypal a fiver to the place of your choosing.

i really like those caps. Just trying to decide whether to go for yours or these. https://fit2gotpms.com/michelin-tpms/
Not sure it the unit would look crappy on the windscreen?

The trouble is with a bloody defender where ever you measure from it’s never going to be square Rolling with laughter

The heat gun won’t be coming out Rolling with laughter if a squiffy numberplate means a cancer charity gets a fiver my OCD can live with that and if it can’t then I too will pay a fiver to cancer charity Thumbs Up

I nearly went for the crappy unit too on the dashboard but thought it looked crappy as you do Thumbs Up so didn’t 2015 HT XS 90

Spent the morning working on release pens and then took the spaniel out for a walk, but it was so hot we had to shorten it considerably. Weather was absolutely stunning, so we had our (my) lunch and took a trundle across the Plain.

So today I decided to take a break from working on the house and pay Dolly some attention.

With the weather been nice, I decided today was the day that the NAS step, rear parking sensors and the dog guard were getting installed!

The parking sensors were much easier than I thought they would be... although whilst removing the near speaker trim panel I managed to destroy the trim clips so I'll be on the look out for some of them (if anybody knows the part number or where I can get them, it'd be appreciated). Although I won't tell her, this mod suddenly went up the priority list as SWMBO was insured on the Defender on Thursday and has started driving her and she normally drives a Fiat 500! Shocked

The dog guard was a little fiddly but the instructions were clear enough and - with a bit of common sense - was easy enough.

The NAS was very easy... although access to the bolts near the fuel tank were a little tricky if it weren't for the adjustable spanner. Sadly due to holding on to the step for over 12 months it has suffered some cosmetic damage so it will be coming off in the near future and getting re-coated. I've also managed to misplace the reenforcement plate but I know it made it to the new house so I'm sure it'll turn up eventually. I don't intend on towing so I'm in no huge panic rush.

All in all, a good day! Given me the bug to think of more things to do... just need to find the time!
