Heated window screens
My mum and dad are toying with the idea of fitting one to the 200 TDI, now I read somewhere on here that you can get a loom that looks like the old lucas switch that goes under the bincle, where there is a slot which has a plastic blank. I was wondering if anyone knows of the loom? I am hoping to bell masi or contact them on a possible bulk buy, mine has a chip in it and the rubbers on both Ds have seen better days. So I can get a little bit of discount for the two we will be laughing. Also if I can find this loom, it saves my dad a hassle of butchering the dash on his. He wants to keep things nice and tidy, like me. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It's a 'windscreen', it screens you from the wind, not windows. Thumbs Up

Mobilecentre do loom kits, a Td5/Tdci kit with factory switch and a universal one to which you can fit your own switch.

I have one of their kits in my 90. Indistinguishable from a factory setup in look and operation Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Window and windscreen are actually both technically correct. However a window screen would be used to describe a screen in front, on or attached to a window.

Sorry Procta, no idea about the loom.

my own windscreen electrics were direct to battery, nothing behind the binacle was required. Only thing required was an ignition live feed for the relay which i got from the fuse box. It does use a lot of amps so bear that in mind regarding the earth.

For the difference in price and the inherent problems with Defender misting up it would be silly not to install one, because now that i have one, I think it's probably one of the best mods I did, especially on frosty mornings.

Hi, I bought a kit for my TD5 from a place called vehicle glazing specialists, looks factory fit. They did kits for earlier models too.

It's a brilliant upgrade to make as others have said Thumbs Up
