It's a 'windscreen', it screens you from the wind, not windows.

Mobilecentre do loom kits, a Td5/Tdci kit with factory switch and a universal one to which you can fit your own switch.
I have one of their kits in my 90. Window and windscreen are actually both technically correct. However a window screen would be used to describe a screen in front, on or attached to a window. Sorry Procta, no idea about the loom. |

my own windscreen electrics were direct to battery, nothing behind the binacle was required. Only thing required was an ignition live feed for the relay which i got from the fuse box. It does use a lot of amps so bear that in mind regarding the earth.
For the difference in price and the inherent problems with Defender misting up it would be silly not to install one, because now that i have one, I think it's probably one of the best mods I did, especially on frosty mornings. |

How do you switch it then windy or is it on all the time ?

switch is next to the rear wiper switch in front of the middle seat

Hi, I bought a kit for my TD5 from a place called vehicle glazing specialists, looks factory fit. They did kits for earlier models too.
It's a brilliant upgrade to make as others have said |
