Spotlights on standard bumper anyone?
Hi, looking at treating the defender to a pair of driving lamps, I like classic look so considering Hella lamps, either 450 rectangular of comet 500s. Not keen on large a bars so will probably have to fit direct to bumper as I have an air con grill, the small disco 2 Abar I had in the shed won't fit.

Not sure how they will look on bumper can I have pics please of those with on please to get and idea?

Thanks

Mike

Doing exactly this is on my list of things to do, with a set of Comet 450's. As I don't want to drill holes in my galvanised bumper, I intend to make two brackets out of stainless angle that will attach to the bumper mounting bolts and project sideways to allow the spots to be attached just outboard of the grill. Darren

I like the 450s and think they may sit better under the headlamps, just unable to make up my mind at the moment! Rolling Eyes

That extension bracket sounds good so they are just either side of the grill.

This is my set up. Terrafirma 25w LED spots. Really impressed with them and use them as a driving light with full beam (wired through a relay).

Hi,

Hella 450 (driving version), which I love for their classic look. Bolted directly onto the bumper and wired through a relay. Activated independently, so it can also be used as a backup should the standard headlight switch fail Laughing

I am very happy with them ; the beam is quite wide, which I find very useful off road and on sinuous lanes. But keep in mind that the beam is also pretty narrow vertically.

Fabien, that looks spot on with the 450s, neat and classic. I have decided that's what I will be ordering Cool

Thanks

Hi all, received my lamps Cool

Quick question, will I legally require an interior isolation switch on a 2004 vehicle?

Thanks

No, as long as they're wired to go off automatically with the high beam. Darren
