Doing exactly this is on my list of things to do, with a set of Comet 450's. As I don't want to drill holes in my galvanised bumper, I intend to make two brackets out of stainless angle that will attach to the bumper mounting bolts and project sideways to allow the spots to be attached just outboard of the grill. I like the 450s and think they may sit better under the headlamps, just unable to make up my mind at the moment!
![]() That extension bracket sounds good so they are just either side of the grill. |

Comet 550 fogs under the bumper. These 550’s also exist in driving light version.

This is my set up. Terrafirma 25w LED spots. Really impressed with them and use them as a driving light with full beam (wired through a relay).

Hi,
Hella 450 (driving version), which I love for their classic look. Bolted directly onto the bumper and wired through a relay. Activated independently, so it can also be used as a backup should the standard headlight switch fail ![]() I am very happy with them ; the beam is quite wide, which I find very useful off road and on sinuous lanes. But keep in mind that the beam is also pretty narrow vertically. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Cheers ![]() Fabien |

![]() Fabien, that looks spot on with the 450s, neat and classic. I have decided that's what I will be ordering ![]() Thanks Mike |

Hi all, received my lamps
![]() Quick question, will I legally require an interior isolation switch on a 2004 vehicle? Thanks |

No, as long as they're wired to go off automatically with the high beam. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |
