I also cleaned up the under side of the wing and roughed the big silver spacer to try and ensure a good earth but no avail

It does pick up several dab stations using manual tuning but still shows the antenna error on screen 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Did you try the aerial connection direct to the DAB box on its own with the Naka booster completely and absolutely disconnected? (Not in-line.)
If so with a non powered aerial I cannot see why that should show any error if the Pinoeer system is self powered.o

I suppose you could also try powering the Nak booster for the aerial via the blue white wire as the manual suggests.
If so that is how the manual suggests an aerial is connected.

Is it on the latest firmware version?

Are you absolutely sure the DAB fittings match up? Some SMA / SMB fixings have a central pin and others not.

Of course naturally mind you Pinoeer will suggest their xxxxxx model number DAB aerial will be the solution.

I wonder if anyone on here has the same set up?

If all check out then the manufacturer may have more info on it. Thumbs Up ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

You can’t remove the booster as this is what splits the signal on the naka ariel

I have powered on a separate ign live so shouldn’t be an issue

It’s a brand new model radio only came out 2 weeks ago so I assume it’s the latest software

Going to buy a cheap dab windscreen ariel from halfruads tomorrow and try that at least I’ll know if it’s ariel or hu 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

My first naka antenna had a break in the cable so would not work
Tested to see if a current passed from one end to the other and it did not
Brendan replaced it and the new one works fine
Might be worth a check if not already done

Have you tried this:
https://www.caravantalk.co.uk/community/to...nna-error/

This function I mentioned before, see if you can find it and turn it 'OFF'.

Apparently a lot of the Pinoneer units can power their own branded aerial.
If the aerial is externally powered the setting should be 'OFF'.
It may be 'on' as standard out of the box, probably in the hope you buy a Pioneer DAB Aerial instead!

Failing that it might be internal, thus contacting Pinoneer for a swap is the answer. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Going to call the supplier in the morning

Probably needs looking at then if that is the case, as it certainly should allow you to switch it on or off according to manuals.

What a pain..

Hope you can get it sorted out, I was after one of these at some point too but at the cost people paid to have these issues isn't inspiring.

If you get a like for like replacement, definitely when fitting make sure the DAB box is fitted first before powering up and that, that setting is turned off before connecting the Nak aerial.

Good luck. Thumbs Up ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Excellent news. 👍🏻 One to remember for anyone else too with similar units.
I have ever had the chance to use DAB on mine yet, but I did try the FM quickly and could definitely tell a difference in that alone first try. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Why did you need to get the HU out to do that? If you could kindly share, it may help others. Thumbs Up ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

I've just fitted my Nakatanenga aerial and it is currently working on FM with my old head unit. Does anyone have any tips of where to piggy back off of for the power to the Naka booster box? I can then fit my new DAB head unit.

Cheers

Thank you for your reply, is there anywhere I can get this (ie switched live) off the ISO plug rather than trying to get to the awkward ignition barrel switch? Rather than cutting the loom I wondered about getting a male to female ISO loom and cutting that? Just wondered what others had done.
