Ah Bless!.....
I've fast tracked mine straight to Pulp Fiction, The Exorcist, and Hannibal everymorning . Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Fitted Mud rails to the driver's seat, feels deluxe now! Just need to fit the Mud flexible door handle tomorrow to stop the standard one digging into my leg!

Replaced the worn-out Old Man EMU steering damper with a new genuine OE one. Short test drive confirmed the old one was definitely shot.
Then went mad and tackled the reputedly horrible job of replacing the leaking Td5 fuel connector block (fuel pressure regulator). Actually it's not too bad to do on a Defender and the leak has been banished. Also found the cause of all the crashing and banging over rough surfaces - the rear brake pads are rattling like crazy. Not sure what to do about that - the correct springs are fitted and everything seems okay. They just rattle. A lot. I'm probably tempting fate but it's running really well now - not too bad at all for a seven year old TD5 with 167,000 miles on the clock... Dave Green Goddess - 1998 Defender 110 300tdi |

ordered some bonnet struts from Extreme they told they will arrive on Saturday £29 + VAT + Postage will let you know how easy/well they fit and if its better than fiddling with the bonnet stay. Great name ! When we get ours (counting the minutes) the kids have decided to call it Gary - after Spongebob's pet snail. They've christened the caravan 'sparkle'. Thank Christ the Defender's not going to be called Sparkle |

Better a caravan called Sparkle than 'Glitter' or the combination of tower and towee would be thoroughly inappropriate |
