Sounds like a similar situation to myself - should have checked before I ordered!
Mine is a 2009 XS station wagon and I can't find it, so i'm guessing it wasn't a standard option? |

Not all 07 to 2011 Puma TDCi defender have wire and plug in place in the wing loom
Click image to enlarge check C1264 plug if you only have one black wire concreted in the plug you will not have the brown BBUS plug at head light end. If you have 4 black wire concreted in the plug you will brown BBUS plug at head light end. all is not lost if your loom is missing wiring and brown plug Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

It's not behind either headlight on my 2013 model. I know it has one fitted as I've inadvertently set it off, but I'm dammed if I can find it (which is a good thing).
Perhaps LR installed them differently on later vehicles? Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Td5s have the harness with the plug. If your TDCi doesn't, you can pick up a Td5 harness from a breaker.

Never fitted on export models. My 2015 doesn't even have an alarm. ---

WindyJ, I did the exact same when I bought a BBUS relocation loom! The advantage was, after I found my wiring harness did not include a BBUS connector, and after I actually got a BBUS(!), I just added the pins to the relocation loom and plumbed it straight into the C1264 connector.
Took a bit of mining to find the relevant info as naturally most folk aren't too keen to share security system info. |
