United Kingdom 2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Corris Grey
What a great weekend...fitted Mud UK rear panels (nets still to be fitted) & Huttopia's (Def2 member) top notch windscreen blocks, also gave my Wolf a good chassis clean, can't beat tinkering with a Defender!!!

My wife doesn't understand me!!!

I took it to the menders on Saturday morning because the transfer box was leaking. As a temp job the fluid was drained, thread removed and then refitted with a compound of some sort, then refilled. I then took it to Wycliffe College at Stonehouse (100 mile round trip) on Saturday afternoon to watch my daughter play hockey. It was fine, no leaks afterwards even after hitting 75 on the motorway (not for long, mind). 👍

Wales 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Alpine White
Fitted genuine perspex light guards, got 25% discount at local stealers while ordering other parts.
The ones I purchased with the LED's were starting to cloud over and for the cost, the 4 years was well worth it (have saved the lights from stones a couple of times).
Just hope the genuine ones work as well and last longer. The 'goldfish eye bulge' is also gone...

Had a set fitted to one of my old Land Rover 90s and they are great. Make sure you liberally cover the screws with anti seize compound on the screws,otherwise when your headlight bulb goes you may have trouble getting them undone.
I found this out at an awkward moment whilst on holiday and ended up having to pull the plastic heads off because the
riv-nuts just kept turning without undoing.
They are tough and practical for protecting the headlights, just my experience which may save you some hassle.

Funny you should ask, but it developed an intermittent wobble at 55ish, nothing too severe but noticeable. Had he pre load checked in swivel housings but that was fine as was everything else on the steering. Tracking was out a touch, but that has been rectified now but still a wobble. I can set cruise at 55 and it will wobble for a couple of minutes, then it’s a smooth as you like for a bit. Then the wobble comes back. If it were the spacers causing it directly I would assume it would happen all the time? I’m thinking the extra leverage is affecting something.

Next steps are to remove one spacer at a time and they see if the wobble disappears. Will try and squeeze this in at the weekend.

Make sure they're located properly and completely central on hub and wheel.
If that doesn't work....Try getting your wheels re-balanced, people tend to knock inner rim wheel weights off when taking wheels on and off.

It cracks me up when people say things like this about spacers! Rolling with laughter

The extra loading on the bearings etc as a result fitting spacers (at least spacers of a reasonable sensible thickness) is less that the effect of a passenger getting in the vehicle, it is never going to make a difference.
