turbo noise help
hi,
something strange happened to my landy, i have 2.2 remapped + hybrid turbo.



what could the noise be from?
i already opened the turbo, cleaned and put it back.
when i drive the car doesnt have power.

I think you’ve blown the gasket between turbo and exhaust system.

I'd be interested what you find with that. Mine sounds similar when I'm 'pushing on' but is fine during normal driving. I'll have a check of my hoses etc today.

My TD5 (same set up) made the exact same noise yesterday! For about 30 mins when driving then stopped suddenly. I didnt find the cause let me know if you do.

Mine only happened about 2000 - 2500 rpm Instagram @defender_ventures

If the turbocharger whistles with increasing speed, the shaft might be damaged or worn out. The whistling noise is caused by the metallic friction.
