Neon1991, the Britpart Lynx Eyes are road legal. If you zoom into the photograph here bottom right hand corner you will see the approval mark. OK it is not the worlds best photograph but enough of the approval mar can be seen.


Vehicle Lighting Regulations clearly state that headlights must have an approval mark

UNECE R48 and R112 clearly state approval markings. Examples of arrangements of approval marks can be found here from page 27


If the only markings on the lens is DOT, SAE, E + Number in a circle then they are not approved and are illegal.


We have been informed by our insurance company that they are training their lost adjusters to look for undeclared and illegal modifications on Defenders when involved in an insurance scenario.
