Another milestone passed
A big milestone passed today, not many can rack up these hard miles. Bit like Triggers broom, 2 engines early on but this one has done 215thou original gearbox no issues, Ashcroft transfer box 150thou ago and just about to have another one. Rear diff ages ago but front axle all original apart from the welding as are the rear shafts and all hub bearings.
All bushes original but on 3rd set of shocks and second set of HD springs to be expected I run heavy every day.
Just replaced a blown intercooler last weekend.

I have not been West of the Severn into God's country for ages now. But yes still everywhere else, mainly London Brum and Manchester and anywhere in between.
She is beginning to look a bit rough needs some tlc, the corrosion round the windscreen and alpine windows is getting bad and I had a jackknife trailer last year and the o/s rear corner is a bit bashed, I pulled it out the best I could but defiantly needs a couple of days in the sprayshop.
Most annoying on the appearance side I was on site and they spraying fire proofing onto the steel frame and I have white spots all over it. Picked most of them off but that was February and I am still finding them. Also the Hi-vis striping is fading badly but the reflective is still good. Just got to keep it going another year, roll on 2020. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

That's good going. I'm less than 70k behind you but that's an '07, not a '12 plate. Keep up the good work! Thumbs Up

My old 57plate that the company chairman now has, has 235 on the clock. But that only potters round Bromsgrove these days and the odd towing the boat trip to Fawey Cornwall If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Mines a mere baby at 68k at the moment! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I donโ€™t do that many miles though each year. It goes to show the environmental benefits of production and mileage as a lot of ordinary cars are scrapped at about the 100k mark. Then another is made. No Guts, No Glory.
