best option in my opinion - a single 1m long bar mounted above the rear door, 45deg downwards, facing forwards. No shining in the eyes and in conjunction with the LED Festoon bulb its like blackpool illuminations in the back!

I did something similar and it works a treat. A strip light above the rear door, mounted at an angle on some little purpose-made brackets:

The result is excellent:

Oooh the postman's just been!!! Delivered me some goodies!

But...
The lights don't look right? Are they correct for my truck, I drive a 2004 td5 xs... These bulbs are for the dash board. I watched a video on changing the lights and the bulbs the guy had looked different... Could have been an older truck mind you..

So before I strip my dash down are these the right bulbs?

I also got some interior lights.

Most people use the 'New Posts' function so they'll find your post regardless of where it is. By and large, there's no need to duplicate. Darren

I have a mud light fitted to mine, the original light I had was a write off, badly rotten. I will fit on in the back at some point, when I get around to doing a headline job. The only problem I have is, the red light thing is useless. You don't even use it. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Hi all.
How does one change the clock light?

I did the fuel & temp gauge, my pliers were too fat for the speedo, so have to go and get some.

I also changed the interior lights.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Been out and got my long nose pliers, lets hope they fit in the hole in the speedo to change the bulbs...

I also got some star shaped Allen keys to try and undo the clock to get to the bulb..

I did notice though, that I got 3 large bulbs left in the kit, I see that 2 go in the speedo - but don't reckon the 3rd large bulb goes in the clock does it?

Anyone got any ideas????? Regards
Adam

So got it all done. Blew a fuse too, changed that out.
I did pull the clock right out, I saw 2 'clips' 1 either side, did try to pry it apart.. But, didn't want to break it.. So I put it back and left it alone..

Heres the final product.
Still don't like the green clock...

Wow. Very effective. Must be a lot brighter. Agreed the clock needs to match.

To be honest not for me but good you have it sorted out.

Once I've got these lights mounted and the two si8 lights on the back I'll get some photos up.

Actually the brightness itself is no different, just the colour.
In regards to the clock, I fount its actually like a one piece, and the clock light is integrated and cant be changed.. Perhaps I need to get a see through blue sheet and cut to size and stick over the clock face lol.

Look forward to seeing your pics. Regards
Adam
