From experience it sounds as though your wiper spindles are seizing up, the age of you landy is similar to when i had the issue. Dash nearly needs to come off but not entirely, pretty simple just rather time consuming.
However if you can hear the motor doing its thing and not sounding as if it’s struggling to do so, then I’d agree with a previous post of your wiper ‘chain’ either coming loose or being worn. You can get away with removing just a few screws from the fascia and lefthand dash to prise open and remove / replace the mechanism I’d say it was highly unlikely to be your relay or park switch ! |

Thanks everyone for the advise. Relay came today. Can’t believe how a £10 relay can make such a difference! Great little mod.

So attempt to take off dash was horrendous!
Lack of experience, knowledge, somewhere indoors to work and the lack of daylight these months drove me insane. This is my daily drive car so dont really have the opportunity to do it over a few days. So booked into a local independent landy garage next week to have it done. Not chuffed with myself as its costing a fortune. Thanks for all the advice guys just think this repair was a bit much for a novice like myself! I will be doing the relay when i get paid though! |

Job all done at my local Landy independent Garage.
Cost me a fortune in labour but worth getting it done. Also got hold of a VW99 locally as well which was great and a cracking idea so thanks for that guys! |
