Seat box corner protectors
I’ve got a split in the corner of a seat box and wanted to protect it before it gets worse. I’ve had a look online and for somewhere between £20 and £30 I can get some horrible cheap looking bits of plastic to protect. Does anyone have these and are they as cheap as they look? Anyone recommend anything else?

Cheers
Col

I've got the plastic ones and once fitted you can hardly notice them, much better than torn corners

I saw somewhere recently somebody used a black plastic external fascia like linked below

I can't seem to find the thread/page now... Perhaps I dreamt it? Shocked

I’ve just put some layers of Gorilla tape on mine, they weren’t split but thought this would protect them.

Is anybody aware of a similar product existing for the footwell/a pillar corner where the covering wears through?

edit: answered my own question - they do yes! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283232867613

Mine were completely shredded and about 2 years ago I put some gaffer tape on them as a temporary stop gap measure.

The gaffer tape has survived much better than the original rubber stuff ever did and I've still not got round to fixing it properly.

These corner protectors are a very good idea, I've seen some affixed with double sided tape rather than drill holes in the seat box.

They are good, but the screws are not so good in my opinion.
I found they wouldn't nip up at all, went in and sound spin and I certainly didn't overtighten them
And only happened with a couple.

Easily rectified but annoying. No Guts, No Glory.

Yes you can not see the wear marks when the door's are closed but they are an easy spot when the door is open and very annoying when cleaning the door cards Evil or Very Mad 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Mines pretty similar to that, and with Dynamat under too adds a mm or two.

Cannot understand why LR made the fit that close, this is why the rubber matting often splits on the corners too due to pressure on them from the door cards. No Guts, No Glory.
