So apparently it's been over a year since I updated this thread.... Yikes
Aside from the usual, servicing, lots of oil, many miles and a leaky bottom hose, the old girl continues to plod on in life. I think a new fuel pump may be in the offing soon, as on long journeys with heavy trailers, after an hour or so, she really begins to struggle with anything more than a molehill... Last winter, went playing in the snow with a mate Had another (yes, this was the second) break-in via the sliding window, so bit the very expensive bullet and bought & fitted security grills Tidied up the front end with some rattle cans, new grill and headlight surrounds, and moved some lights Click image to enlarge Chopped out some old metalwork that had turned to dust Click image to enlarge Then after replacing it with some fresh stuff from YRM, got out the welder, some box section and shoe-horned in some new seats! Reports from passengers are that they are much more comfortable than the old square "cushions", and cost me less than half of a set of high backs! Click image to enlarge |
