New Fuel Tank - Help
Hi,

I’ve fitted a new fuel tank to my 90 due to my old one leaking. After fitting I’ve been having issues, struggling to get up hills, no power, feeling like it’s about to stall then after a while it does. Does start again but then the same all over again.

Since then I’ve changed the filter, manually pumped fuel through and took it for a run, seemed better. Took it for a test drive today and the same all over again. I checked the new filter and there was no fuel in it so attempted to pump fuel through again but nothing.

I’ve ordered a new fuel lift pump, should be here Monday but there wasn’t an issue with the pump prior to the tank change.

Can you suggest anything else, am I missing something?

Cheers

Are you sure the breather pipe is not blocked or trapped?

Yeh it seems fine, I’ve had a few responses on some FB pages so going to check the fuel pick up line in the morning to see if there’s some sort of obstruction Thumbs Up 2007 Defender Puma Tonga Green

Test drive it with the filler cap off.

Are you sure flow and return pipes are the correct way around?

Well, it turned out to be the fuel lift pump, I could’ve sworn that was fine so just goes to show. All back to normal now Thumbs Up 2007 Defender Puma Tonga Green
