Pleased; did this last night by crimping an extension on (crimping for the first time -- I'll be reconditioning the engine next!) and works perfectly.

... more perfectly than the temporary fix I put in place a couple of days ago by pigtailing the two wires together with some tape an wishful thinking Smile I figured I'd just figure out where the aerial was with a bit of an explore, but couldn't stop myself when I got there ...

My apologies!! I had such a brief scan through when you brought this thread back it looked like all I needed to know. Now I'm also interested about what else you need to do. Assumed it was just added an extension wire onto the aerial. Embarassed
