Does this apply to a 53 plate Defender as well? sometimes i have to be stood next to it or press it 10 times!

If so, instructions very welcomed and thank you!

Given the Lucas10AS is the same alarm in the Puma as it is in the Td5 then it should be the same.

But where it's located etc will possibly be different. 110 2.4TDCi

I don't know how people come up with such innovative ideas! Common sense I suppose. (Something i'm regularly accused of not having). Carried out the installation myself this morning 25 minutes - must be said for me this is the best, most simple and one of the most beneficial I have done! Thanks! Got any more???? May have to purchase extra battery as I can't leave it alone! The central locking that is!

Well I could tell you a story about how we (myself and Sonic) attempted to 'fix' this issue, but lets just say that the best result we had was:- A 6ft long CB antenna, cable tied to the drivers door mirror. Whilst testing the distance the remote would work up to, I had to call a taxi to get back to the Defender.

I dont think I should post the location of the actual box that the wire is fixed too for vehicle security reasons. What I will do is pm the location to all those established members that request the info, however if Mr No or OnePost requests the info I wont send it Thumbs Up

With the electro-magnet modification i've come up with you add a third button to the remote and when you press it, hey presto! Your Defender comes to you! Just need to iron out the damage it causes to other vehicles in the way! Involves hooking up to the National Grid and some Mary Shelly Frankenstein type switches and wiring though! No pm's just send me a postcard for the details! Thanks again by the way!
