Could you not fit a puma rear fuel tank and sender? You would have to adjust the mounts, but it should fit fine between the chassis rails.

Can you measure the "full" and "empty" resistance of your sender?

I guess so using my multimeter. I'm thinking if I got the same info from a puma sender, I could follow the guide from Geobloke but with a bit more know how? |

2.4 Puma is the same as a Tdi and Td5. Haven't measured a V8 or petrol sender so can't advise without measurements

So if I can fit a TDi sender in my tank which might be a little easier rather than try the TDCi one, it will be accurate on the gauge?? EBAY here I come.......... ![]() |

In theory yes - my side tank sender (1988 TD) works the Puma gauges nicely, same as the rear tank sender (Td5).
However, get a multimeter on your existing one to see what's going on with the Ohms first. ![]() ![]() |
