Ok, I’m convinced! Just one thing you Coleman owners could help with are the dimensions, on the Coleman EU site
https://www.coleman.eu/uk/p-23734-unleaded-2-burner-stove.aspx the footprint of the stove is given as 46 x 29 cm, the width is no problem but the depth may be, does the 29cm include the fuel tank? hi Chris,
I'm not at home to check the measurements on my coleman but no the 29cm depth isn't with the petrol tank fitted. I would estimate the tank adds ~10cm to the depth when fitted. Of course the tank goes inside the stove when its packed up so the 46x29x12 is correct for a stove "in transit" rather than in use. Cheers |

Thanks Josefk, since posting here others have told me what you’ve said and that the tank is self supporting on its lugs so should be ok on the cooker housing, just ordered one so I’ll find out for myself soon 👍 I’ll post a photo when it arrives. 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

nice one Chris.
at the risk of sounding patronising i found the stove to be a bit of a struggle at first - coming from a really nice multifuel MSR i found pressurising the coleman comparatively awkward (both before and during use). Now it's second nature and I find it a really excellent tool. basically if your like me you may initially wonder what all the fuss is about but don't worry... cheers |

comments on getting used to it are well founded. they are cracking stoves but it can take a fair bit of time and patience to learn the most efficient ways of running it. Cheers

The Coleman arrived this morning, less than 24hours after ordering it.
Fuelled her up and she lit no problem, took a bit of time to get a blue flame, the tops were tinged yellow, had a couple of pops and the flame went yellow then with a bit of fiddling with the burner control got it blue again, bit of soot on the burner top, generator and the bottom of the kettle, may be that it’s new and needs running in? 😀  Click image to enlarge All shiney and new 😀 Click image to enlarge In position on the cooker housing Click image to enlarge Thar she blows ! 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black. |

Yellow flame suggest incomplete burn either fuel or air. did you prime the tank sufficiently? also the priming plunger should have a small hole in the securing ring to allow a drop of light oil like 3 in 1 just to keep the seal happy.
It should be the same process like the 533 and the 442 that I have which is a 30second prime 91 pump per second) light it then pump until the plunger can be held against the pressure about a 1/2 inch up against your finger pushing down. Colemans are fantastic stoves having actively used my sportster for something going on like 12 years. mostly run on petrol and occasionally coleman fuel and only just recently replaced the generator for the first time as performance was dropping off. Like landys one isn't enough,, so you'll need a single burner then a lantern and then a twin mantle as they are really bright.  Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest |

Now that is one nice looking Coleman and that kettle is like a mirror! Somehow I do not think I will put up a photo of our Coleman.
A second tank/generator is useful for fast change over if doing a lot of cooking. Now if running on petrol it is easier to carry the petrol in say 0.5/1 litre Ali bottles for filling the Coleman tank. Brendan |

Slightly smaller gas stove but it's the mutts nuts and easy accommodates a large pan , kettle or frying pan

I took a screen shot from an older Coleman of how to light as I lost my instructions ages ago! Might be of use in 12 months when you get it out again!!

Use an MSR Dragonfly myself. Have an Optimus Crux for when I need to fly but I also use it for a quick coffee ottes on the road. The Coleman dual burner is somethingI still need to buy. Not really needed,but a man needs his toys... 😬 |
