Series One 2 litre Oil light Glowing
Hello, Small's Series one has a two litre spread bore engine and the other day the oil warning light came on.
We have had the switch changed and it ran fine with no warning light. This morning the light is on again. The oil level is fine with no signs of excessive consumption.
Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated

Maybe the Oil thinning out in the hotter weather thus dropping the oil pressure..

Have you checked with a guage?

Or have you checked the wiring on the back of the warning light on the binnacle, maybe grounding on something!

As Andy pointed out, I would get it checked with a gauge.
Might be a faulty switch, but better to check properly just incase Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Hello All
Thanks for your help as I had become a little confused as Swine was away.
It appears that the wire to the pressure switch was a little chaffed and and was intermittently shorting against the engine hence the on/off oil light.
Bit of tape from Swine's box and all sorted Very Happy Thumbs Up
He will be proud of me . Rolling with laughter
