Away camping in the 130. Always generates visitors to have a look in the roof tents. One chap walks up and knows a good bit about the thing. Works for JLR in autonomy so grilled him. Has seen and driven the 90. Seen the 110 and knows of the 130. The 110 was in 9 seat config with 3 rows of three. He said if feels like they have built it with ulitliy in mind and the interior is aimed at Rangers, D Max and Navara in some trim levels. Aiming at the German pick ups and LC with others. Some fascinating work on parts and cost of them to make sure it’s cheap to run post 5yrs. D4 architecture with more modern engine options. It does have more electronics but kills everything they currently make off-road and wades deeper too.
Sticking with my two deposits then ... 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

I've read so many reports emanating from yet another 'I'm a JLR insider &...'; if I was to believe all of them, the new Defender (which funnily enough a JLR salesman told me last week that the Defender name is to be dropped in favour of Series title), or whatever its going to be called will be:
Based on a Disco platform Not based on a Disco platform Look like an existing Defender Look all like an existing Defender Be called a Series Made in Croatia, India or Solihull High tech & low tech Be only in 110 Be available in 90, 110, 130 Monocoque Still on chassis rails Velar, Evoke, Disco power plant Velar underpinning Austin Maxi switchgear (Oh sorry I'm getting confused with my 2016 90) But, I was talking to a bloke who drove an Austin Allegro (forerunner to the Evoke) whose wife used to sharpen the pencils for Mr McGovern & he told me that whilst Mr McG was in an artistic rage over the new Defender/Series he chopped his left ear off and was rushed to hospital, whilst he was in A&E his pencil sharpener wife rooted through the bin & found this baby...apparently this is it!!! And so the stories goes on...I'm no longer sure this thing actually exists! Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains |

That reminds me of a bloke I met recently on a train, who told me he knew a geezer who met this guy in a pub, who told him his next door neighbours son attended the same school as a boy whose dad knows the postman who delivers mail to Mr McGovern's office, and the security officer at Land Rovers main gate told the postman that the new Defender model looks cool and everybody will like it. So there you have it almost from the horse’s mouth. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

A gentleman would never put his goat in a position where it would need to lie. It's much more fun when they're stood up and you can grab the horns 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |
