United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Adventure Corris Grey
Hi All,

Its been a 4 months since I took delivery of my Adventure.
Having put around 2,000 miles on the vehicle and investing is several layers of security, I am now thinking of the following mods.

Short term/Immediate
- MILLENIUM SPORT 350 MM STEERING WHEEL - I find the standard steering wheel quite large).
- 18" 285 65 BFGOODRICH ALL TERRAIN TYRES + 18" SPORT ALLOY WHEELS - The stock tyres just look too thin. (I will keep the Adventure alloys as a keepsake though).
- SWING AWAY WHEEL CARRIER - this will take the weight off the rear door + I intend to install a bike carrier on the spare wheel.

6 months
- BLACK CHEQUER PLATE PROTECTION TO WINGS, SILLS & REAR QUARTERS
- PRIVACY GLASS
- TUBULAR REAR STEP & TOWING BRACKET, TOW BALL & ELECTRICS
- SOUND PROOFING

Keen to hear if any other adventure owners have made any mods. If so what are they and can you share pics?

Thanks and hope you are enjoying your Adventures!

Kind Regards,
APK

Personally I would go for the Startech wheel. Andy

mcma1, thanks I had not considered Startech, will take a look. Thumbs Up
I felt that the metal / leather mix of the Momo matches the gears etc of the Adventure.

Nice to see an Adventure being used for its intended purpose.

I liked Mrs Doublea's Adventure so much I decided I needed one too. Went all the way to Wales for it, collected with 1100 miles on the clock and after our trip to Cornwall last year, it's now up to 6000. Summer use only, mind Thumbs Up

Different story with the other Celebration edition.. Like quite a few others one here, the Heritage was a bit of a disappointment and was sold on after only a few hundred miles. Paid for Mrs Doublea's Adventure though. Current Steeds:
2015 110 UW in Grasmere Green
2003 BMW F650 the Hack
2000 Elise
1992 Ducati 888 (no longer in bits, yahoo)
1990 TDR 250 (in bits again)
1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale

- Did you go for Waxoyl or Dinitrol?
- Two Adventure 110s? Nice, both Pheonix?

I think so too. No point in saving the miles just so that someone else can enjoy it... imho. Very Happy
