I'm quite happy to wait for mine.
Don't mind if delivery ends up being January now |

Even though on a earlier tread, I foolish commented on the factory had emailed that it would have factory privacy glass , tow pack and subwoofer it obviously came through with nothing on it,so I'm trying to negotiate from a position of week ness that I want all of the options fitted at the dealer free of charge ,or I might take it in January ( they have no space and want the registration this month)and give them a disappointing customer satisfaction survey report!
But I've seen it and sat in it and spoke to the mechanics and they are all saying that the build quality is the best they have seen!the Phoenix Orange looks good in the flesh and the interior is really nice, In the back ,sealed in a bag in a very nice set of fabric embossed defender over mats but i think they will stay in the bag and I will get genuine rubber over mats!. Regarding the privacy glass,Im in the trade I'm going to have the guys in Colney Heath do the tints as most of the Land Rover dealers in the area use them and although £340 plus vat is £160 more than a mobile guy I know I want it done properly and only once! |

Hello Holty
Did your Adventure come with fitted carpets? I have the impression no carpets as based on XS where carpets are a factory fit option and in Spec listed carpet mats as you mentioned were in your car in a plastic bag. I have a 90 Adventure on order since 4/2/15 and still no word on delivery but eager to know what to expect! |

Yes it has full carpet interior front to back, and the mat set consists of two front plus the long thin 2nd row mat

Thank you for the information - with no Adventure models available at Dealerships to look at it has been hard to know what we are getting. The information sheet i was given at order time (beginning of February) was a print out off the internet which was far from comprehensive.
I have just been told my 90 Adventure will not be delivered to the Dealer until 29/1/16 so probably into February before ready for handover. Over a year from the original order and deposit. If it is this late i will ask to have it on the 1st of March 16 so at least the number plate will be 16 one of the last of the Defenders............. |

“… have it on the 1st of March 16 so at least the number plate will be 16 one of the last of the Defenders”
I snigger at some of the “gonna rocket in value” comments on here - a truck of which over two million were built has been compared to a Lotus of which a couple of thousand were made and even a limited edition Ferrari which numbered less than two hundred - and I'm glad I didn't use the five hundred quid deposit I'd lodged in 2013. But a 2016 manufactured one on a 16 plate just might retain a VERY good value. Well done! Peter |
