Refitted the treated and painted tank cradle - just caught it before it rotted beyond repair. Having priced up a new one and a matching tank strap I am rather relieved! Shocked

New rear light brackets in the making from an upcycled old Aga heat tray thingy - grease removed...

already has a strengthening fold at each end and if you cut it in half it will make two brackets...

more pictures to follow - hopefully some more interesting updates!

Like the look of your 110, saw something similar in either Plymouth or Buckfast last summer .

I have never been a great fan of wire wheels on angle grinders after one exploded on me and I had to spend sometime in A&E having bits of wire removed from a delicate area Embarassed , they had embedded themselves quite deep after traveling through a pair of overalls and trousers. I now use 3M surface prep disc's. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

I do not even pick one up switched off without a proper set of goggles on...they are evil but effective things!

Few quick update pics...
Had to cut off the shock mounts as they were completely seized to the top shock bush.
So new mounts and bolt kit for each side:-

Going to run 3 x NAS lights and locate the reflector separately.

Plenty of Rolling Eyes moments sorting out rear axle!

Bruised thread on a stub axle - nut was particularly stubborn coming off, so thread needed cleaning up Rolling Eyes

Both Drive flanges were b*&gered Rolling Eyes
Half shafts both good, so i guess they replaced them and not the flanges...and used any old bolts they had!

The other sides stud had obviously snapped off inside the hub assembly, so someone had welded a bit studding onto the hub... which then sheared off Rolling Eyes

Drilled with a 6mm bit...then some easy out thing and it came out with ease - a rare thing! Whistle

Put it back together.....bearings a bit worn, so off it comes again Rolling Eyes

New discs, pads fitted and just awaiting new drive flanges and bolts to arrive.

I think they warranted changing...pads were nearly new - i don't get the logic!

And finally - I treated myself to a brake pipe kit - been meaning to learn to make my own for ages and this 130 needs a new front to back pipe for the MOT

I had a tipper and put the air helper springs in it was a great idea. Pump them up when you have a heavy load and not a back breaking teeth chatterer when empty.

Few bits done this week...

Stripped dented front wing off and broken it down ready for new side and front panel-

6mm 70mm wide bit of flat welded about 650mm along the bottom of the chassis rail for a bit of added strength as this section had a few small holes and was a bit thin in places.
Will tidy up any welds when access is easier on the ramp!

Rear lights fitted:-
Will put reflectors on cross member or tipper frame above.

An unexpected cost, but very necessary!
Need to make up a guard as that is missing.

Tank in with salvaged tank strap and some stainless bolts, ARB refitted and chassis stone chipped with that Gravelex stuff

Rear end back together with lights, tow bar assembly etc.
Just some rewiring to do due to awful bodged light connectors with silicone and tape!

Double washered the light mounts so it leaves a gap for hosing out any mud,rather than creating a rust trap...in theory!
Yes, I will cut the tekscrews down to tidy it up

Winch bumper was going to be repaired....but s*d that! It's going for scrap.
Never had to beat off a bumper with a lump hammer and pry bar before...
