Should they not be rectangular to be in keeping with the vehicle. Only saying as I have just completed a re build on a series 3 that my children got me as a Christmas present and it has cost me 5 times what they got it for but will enjoy it just as much as me

That is looking very smart. The combination of rattle can primer and brushed/rollered enamel can give very acceptable results.

Round ones are correct for a SIII. Darren

Funnily the ones on Alfred (my 1972 109) are round too. Not sure when the changeover to rectangular would have been and I can't promise that Alfred would have had round ones originally. |

Possibly fitted to very late Series III to coincide with the introduction of the One Ten in '84. Darren

The One Ten was launched in '83 (March) and had round reflectors up until the launch of the Ninety in June '84.
So, unlikely that the SIII had rectangular reflectors - except maybe a few "last of the line". A search for SIII photos on the net will no doubt provide the definitive answer. |
