Thoroughly pressure washed with hot soapy spray the entire chassis, thereby removing all the crap from last Sunday’s mountain track driving with Steve. Noticed Dinitrol remains in good condition, but last refreshment application is now 4 years ago, so time to get it redone once again by LEU in about a month from now.

Just collected the Defender from Main dealers (Roger Youngs) went in for its first MOT, oil service and a list of warranty items.
Passed the MOT without any advisories oil service all done, all warranty work completed without any quibbles which amongst others items included, replace of NAS rear step even though wasn’t fitted when Defender was ordered from new, both side steps, wing mirror arms, all door seals, replacement of all door locks, replacement of locking fuel cap, replacement of rear wheel carrier bolts, new front mudflaps and brackets all the metal items had signs of rust so they replaced them. Defender was cleaned and looking great and the bill for the oil service and MOT was very very fair, have to say I consider myself very lucky to have such a great main dealer 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Fixed the bloody annoying squeaking steering wheel since the X-Eng column lock install. Celebrated by fetching sausage and chips!

Today, I took the v8 for its 2nd MOT, only 2,100 miles in a year.
Then this afternoon, under Puma-Mog's recommendation, went out for some food. Nice it was too Rain was forecast, so we went in the 300, which wipers failed 1 mile from home I also saw a Puma broke down in Audley GU11*** |

Drove to Chalons en Champagne via Reims. The cathedral in Reims is simply stunning, 13th c, 25 kings have held their coronation there and in 1962 De Gaulle and Adenauer laid a stone to mark the reconciliation of the two nations. A special place but even more so with all this Brexit going on.
The 110 generated quite a bit of chat on the ferry, ‘when did the bonnet get a hump’, ‘what is the road noise like’ etc etc. All good. The best of it is we were going to travel in the golf, but my 12 year old daughter wanted to go in the 110. A happy day. 👍 Troyes to Dijon to La Roche sur Foron tomorrow and then up to St Martin de Belleville on Sat.. I have snow chains 😁 |

Oh and the 110 did 24mpg at 65-7mph over 450 miles. Maybe it will improve a bit, still only 7k on the clock.

@huttopia, Reims cathedral is absolutely breathtaking, I don't think I've ever been in awe of a building. We did a road trip when I had the 911, Reims, Troyes, Annecy. Glorious. Have fun.

Thanks Greeni. I love it over here. Bit of a shock with diesel at 1.52 euros on the peage though! Will probably take the long route up to St Martin along the top side of the lake. Menthon St Bernard is definitely worth a lunch stop!!
