If anyone else would like to come along, please get in touch and I will send details. I wanna live till I die, no more, no less

Hi Richard, what did you think of the day? Sorry I couldn't be there for the afternoon, I have never driven that area before and wanted to get the chance . Please let me know what you thought of the whole day, I will feed all the info back to Simon and Colin @ 4X4 Solutions I wanna live till I die, no more, no less

We had a very enjoyable day.
The morning was more training, so I can forgive the slow start as that's the best way to make sure people know what they are doing. People need to understand how everything works. Not a bad site in the morning, but the afternoon was excellent up in the woods. Plenty of tracks with a good choice of where to go. Overgrown ones like in the picture above for us and others that had been opened up more for those with paint concerns. My only critisism would be that some mud would be nice, but you can't control the weather and it was a glorious day out in the sunshine. I think it was an ideal day out for new offroaders. If more tracks were opened up in the woods you could probably make a whole day out of it up there and it'd be a good work out for those with experience too. Overall: More mud next time please. |

i have just been reading the comments on the D3 site and completley agree. it was a great day and all credit to Snowy for organising and for Colin/Simon at 4x4 Solutions. they were very helpful, friendly, informative and gave the less experienced drivers confidence, eg, my wife.
she had never really driven the Puma before and never been off road driving before and drove everything apart from the 2 big drops [i only did the easier one ] and the mougle things. the word of the day i think should be 'awesome'. Snowy - please pass on our thanks to Simon and Colin and we will be very interested in any more events...........i don't normally do camping but if you throw in a proper bed and an on-suite i could be persuaded.
