My reverse camera was starting to rust away so I decided to replace it today.

As it was the metal bracket that was rusting I decided to replace the number plate light spacer and put a camera with a plastic body underneath the spacer instead of on top so no more rust hopefully.

The picture looks clearer on this one so we'll see how long it lasts. Ray

Why do defenders look good covered in snow?

Not much snow though Rolling Eyes especially not for the top of the Pennines. Ray

2 things

A: what size tyres did you go for?

B: What do you have your reverse camera hooked up to?

I found them on keith gott's ebay shop but they sold out before I stopped dithering. So I found they company that makes them (design and development engineering) they cost more direct but they had some in stock so I get them anyway. I think they look the best of the current offerings for sale and a lot closer look to the original hinge. I'm not really bothered about the safety aspect but it should stop the terrible squeaky Landrover design of hinge bushing. Ray

Hi, I went for the standard tyre size 235/85/16 and the reverse camera has a sender attached the sends the signal to the rear view mirror screen so I didn't have to run wires right to the back. I've also removed the original rear view mirror and attach the screen one to a mud roof console.
It looks a little lob sided in this pic but when you sit in the drivers seat sits just right Thumbs Up also pic isn't brilliant.

This is how bad the roads have become around here lately Big Cry

I thought it felt crashey over bumps this morning and when I parked up it looked low at the n/s/f, but both front springs Evil or Very Mad and to top it of when I parked up to pick ones of the kids up from school I came back to a puddle of power steering fluid Big Cry it look like it's coming from the pump end of the pipe so I'm really hoping it just needs tightening up. Why is there always something wrong!!!! Ray

Well, that was strange! If I was being paranoid I'd wonder if someone was trying to disable it. The power steering pipe that bolts into the pump was loose, as if undone? And while doing it up it seems the only pipe easily accessible from underneath. So I've tightened it back up and need to get some fluid to top it up now, it just seems weird that it's never come undone or leaked before Rolling Eyes Ray

And yet they seem to surface roads that are rarely used.
