Hope springs eternal. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

As they no longer make a defender I don't think we are a priority for them. If they are bored and sick of drinking coffe one afternoon and their fingers are numb from checking out their Facebook page they might have a look on here just for a laugh Ray

You just have to hope that Ineous comes up with the goods - a reasonable facsimile of a Defender with a company approach that somewhat cares for the customer. No sign of that from JLR in West Australia. Just a discrace of an excuse for customer service. 1955 Series 1 107" Pick up.

They've been so bad here that they couldnt even supply the heritage book with the car even though you could buy one on ebay
They didn't give two poops and just offered a voucher off stuff you didn't want. And that's just one instance on 7 Defenders bought. It doesn't help at all, but I get all paint etc done myself and only use them for mechanical problems for which i would only phone LR assist so you get a courtesy car straight away. Apart from that there GREAT Problem is every time I try to live without for a few months, I still go back as the only other motors I'd like would mean a large PCP and I'd never own them |

It looks like the current situation is not good then.
Well luckily, several years ago when we were ordering our 90 in Aussie, JLR (Aus) would not do what I wanted, so I spoke to the U.K.customer relations guy, Mike, via this forum, (he was on almost daily!), and He got it done for me,..He actually spoke to JLR Aus! Pickles. |

When i bought my truck in 2014 and the dealer looked at me like i was an idiot for asking for a long defunct(in his mind) eka code Ryan atcustomer relations sorted it out for me he also posted a picture of the windscreen frame ro bulkhead frame seal to show thart the vertical cuts in the seal (six inches from each end) where delibearate and not evidence of LR cost cutting.
Its hard not to be seen as sexist but(the sentence before a but is usually a lie )Since Ryan left amelia and stacie have not kept up his willingness to help! |

Nitram17 - that reminds me I have to dig around and see if I have a radio code or even need one.
Perhaps with the bad weather she has not been able to get into work, although I can't think of a job better suited to working from home. Does anyone know if she pops up anywhere else online - facebook, twitter, etc? |

I am not certain.when they stopped the radio coding....my 2015 did not need them...the eka code was for the alarm so you could gain access if there was a problem with the remote unit...sorry if its a granny and eggs thing

Who's the chief of JLR,..is it Speth?....I'd ring up his office, (you won't be able to speak to him of course), but there will be someone there who will direct you to the right place,...you could try this,.....if all else has failed....or send him an email!

We could all put unhappy faces on Any social media posts JLR put up until they take notice. It would be a real pain for them and they would soon take notice especially if there is a few of us doing it
