My EGR is closed by map since 2009 and never installed the plate. No problem at all.... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Have you tried driving without the map at all? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

Had my EGR switched off today.

Why didn’t I do it sooner!? Felt smoother from the moment I pulled away and It’s never felt so good.

Blank is on order so will fit that when I get a chance.

Thanks for all the opinions and information everyone Bow down My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

I took my map off temporarily and the valve stuck open giving me effectively limp mode 2 minutes in to a drive. All fixed now and I have the plate, but just need some spare time to install it.

So if you're splitting a joint there's no new gasket required on both sides of the plate?? I don't have my vehicle available but is it # 3, 4 or 5 ? Looking at it my guess is 3, but I'm not sure which direction the gas is flowing.. Embarassed
