Just returned from a very tiring trip to Hereford to collect this,
Click image to enlarge Six hour train journey yesterday, restless night in a Travelodge and a 4 1/2 hour drive home this morning. It's a G4 lookalike, Td5 with a few mods, actually goes really well! 70mph in a Land Rover is a totally new experience to me! Overall I'm really happy with it but the starter appears to be on the way out so I'm going to have a go at re-building it next week. Watch this space! |

I probably paid far too much but I'd just sold my 107". It's got some mods on it that would have cost me if I'd gone the route of buying a base vehicle and adding stuff to it myself. This also has the advantage that it can be used straight away, starter motor excepted!
Already thinking about adding a few more bits, it's an illness! |

before replacing the starter, check the earthing straps (both of them) - had similar problems with a new to me 110 300tdi which turned out to the earthing, not starter motor - but identical symptoms.....

Will certainly take a look but a tap with a crow bar or rocking it in gear and it fires up. Will be giving this a go when the parts arrive, |

I'm running out of excuses now, I even have a friend who'll lend me his trailer. Although I'm looking at something next weekend that may mean the Fire Engine as to go |
