Britpart Cubby Box Install
Hi all.

Quick question about the basic Britpart cubby box DA2035. Does the cup holder at the front come out?

I'm trying to install the box, & presumed the cup holder pulls out so you can drill through the base beneath it. If it does come out, it is stuck in unbelievably well!! I tried to gently lever it out but don't want to damage the cubby box if it doesn't. It's not the most robust cubby box on the market Laughing

The genuine ones aren't the most robust either, I expect it's from the same supplier. It should pull out.

It is normally glued down. I had to lever mine out to drill some screw holes beneath it for the mounting screws. You could re-glue if you wanted but i habe left mine loose so i can get to the screws to remove.

It's glued down with two big splodges of hot glue. I removed mine to run the wires in for my heated seat switches without too much hassle.

I ended up drilling the removable centre panel and screwing the cubby box down upwards from below

As said, the cup holder is held in with a couple of blobs of hot glue, I popped mine out with levering with something wide, like a wallpaper scraper to reduce the risk of damage. Thumbs Up

Success!!

As suggested, with the use of a wide scraper, some constant pressure & some cloth to protect the vinyl; the cup holder came out.

Thanks for the tips.
