The genuine ones aren't the most robust either, I expect it's from the same supplier. It should pull out.

It is normally glued down. I had to lever mine out to drill some screw holes beneath it for the mounting screws. You could re-glue if you wanted but i habe left mine loose so i can get to the screws to remove.

It's glued down with two big splodges of hot glue. I removed mine to run the wires in for my heated seat switches without too much hassle.
I ended up drilling the removable centre panel and screwing the cubby box down upwards from below |

As said, the cup holder is held in with a couple of blobs of hot glue, I popped mine out with levering with something wide, like a wallpaper scraper to reduce the risk of damage.

Success!!
As suggested, with the use of a wide scraper, some constant pressure & some cloth to protect the vinyl; the cup holder came out. Thanks for the tips. |
