I must say I've never come across a dealer network with such a total lack of respect for peoples property,I know there are good dealers but these seem be limited to Ribblesdale and Kendale, to far for most of us to use.
glad you got the fueling sorted 2.4 90 XS 1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up. |

Wow... sorry to hear about the problems you have had with Hartwells.
I used to work around the corner from them, and when I was trying to get my diff issues sorted they were the last garage that I visited based on other forum member's experiences with them! I used an independent specialist (who made the problem worse), Stratstone in MK and Lancaster in Reading... but no one was able to sort the issue (or even admit that there was one). I only went to Hartwells out of desperation, as the 110 started to make some extra special clunks the day before we were due to drive to Romania. I'm not out of the woods yet, as they still have loads to do when (if?) the parts come in. Still lots of time to screw things up! |

I spoke to the dealer today about warranty work for the rusty items. They took pictures of rusty things I pointed so they can send a report to Land Rover. Now I have to wait.
Has anyone else had this messing? |

I took mine in and got new headlight besels and new mudflaps. The dealer just booked me in and sorted it. Had a few little problems since new but all have been sorted.

just heard from the dealer this afternoon and its not good news. Land Rover are not willing to sort out the rust; it's considered normal apparently. They won't give me any other info as it's confidential; whatever that means. I couldn't even get a name of someone to talk to at Land Rover.
I'm going to ring the customer service tomorrow. Not happy. |

It will have been...warranty can be ...customer services in my exerience are lame and can't over-rule warranty. Warranty aren't customer focused, so you won't get much joy...keep fighting it will be an up hill struggle but not in vain Mike |

I find when talking to any dealer about a warranty issue that if you just quote the relevant section of the warranty and back it up with a photo or two they can't argue the point at all, just book it in. Thankfully mine has been pretty much perfect save for headlamp bezel replacement and rear mudflap brackets.
