I've just got to seek out an ignition live in the drivers side fuse box but don't fancy checking the wires with water dripping down my neck Ray

tried to reverse on my drive today and it felt like I'd left the handbrake on. Got out and had a look round to find this
Click image to enlarge It wasn't pleasant changing the wheel in the snow and sleet! Found this on the inside. Click image to enlarge I suppose luckily there was only maybe 2 or 3 years left on the tread so 2 new tyres ordered at about £300 I've decided to go for bfg k02's this time. I read quite a few good reviews but it'll only be the two rears for now as the fronts have quite a bit of life in them still. I might get some new 18" wheels before I need the fronts anyway Ray

It was rather annoying, and because I went for different tyres on the rear I'm going to have to get new ones on the front as it doesn't look right Ray

A couple bits done this week. First the obvious one, the new tyres were fitted and look great, the only problem is they look a lot more aggressive than the continentals so I think I'm definitely going to get another pair for the front and see if I can get a few quid back on the ones I take off as they aren't that old and have loads of tread left.

I was going to order one in the next couple of weeks anyway and his came up in the for sale section just at the right time and with the two 12v plugs just like I wanted! My alarm had been getting harder and harder to switch on and off with the fob lately, I had to stand right next to the defender in a certain position to make it work. I tried new battery's and nothing changed so I thought I'd try a new fob and yay back to normal distance locking
Strange thing I found with programming the fob with my nanocom though, I'd had the nanocom out in the garage over the winter and when I plugged it into the obd it was taking ages to load up. After twenty minutes I gave up and brought the nanocom into the house. I tried again this morning and everything loaded up and the fob was programmed in under a minute! So I'm guessing nanocoms done like being cold. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |
