Quite possibly. All I could find last night was AMR3600 which is a range rover and rover 200/400 interior light switch. |

Okay little time spent on her today, started to strip out the footwell insulation as it was feeling a little damp and the dash as it seemed a little crusty and found this:
![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge So it looks like my screen bracket seals are leaking and the water is pooling in the dash/insulation oh well only found one small hole: ![]() Click image to enlarge So think I have caught it in time and I can just treat the rust and patch this hole, the rest of the bulkhead is solid externally so I think it was just due to the leaks that it has some rust. And for managed to take a pic of the switch part numbers: ![]() Click image to enlarge 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

They are indeed heated seat switches with (i suspect) laser etched covers and a hole for the indicator light. Neat solution.
I notice the panel is actually tapered to fit the TD5 dash too. Whoever did this, did it well. ![]() |

Sorry, just seen it's a 2002. Must have been leaking for years to get like that.
Must get my bolts out on my 07 and have a look, if all is ok put them back with plenty of sealant. Interesting vehicle, what will you use it for? 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned. 1989 Ninety 200tdi - Love it - Second best car I have ever owned. 1951 80" Series 1 - Love it - Third best car I have ever owned. |

I can't help thinking that the front support arms for the extended roof rack have contributed greatly to your rust issues...

But the rust and water marks are quite bad above those non LR bolts 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned.

Update time, oh how I love having a workshop to use in this weather, pushing this beast in and out however is not so fun.
So as I am awaiting a few bits on the engine side I thought I’d carry on with my war against rust, door cards off and out came a wire brush and a tube of rust converter: ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge The drivers door is very bad and will take a lot of work to recover, both doors have been welded in the usual area they tend to crack. I then moved on to the dash that has rotted badly, tried to price these up and I can only find them around £1300 ![]() So I shall do my best to repair this one, the left hand section that covers the wiper motor, well on the older ones is beyond saving so I will have to get a new one at some point. ![]() Click image to enlarge So with all of that done I thought I would move onto the rear door, this has an additional lock on the rear an at some point the key was lost so I have not been able to open the door, so a little bit of time and I was in. Stripped off the door card and: ![]() Click image to enlarge It’s like new so that’s a bonus, well apart from a few dents. With the back now fully open I could sort out the back and see what I am missing from the front end, so I found most parts but now need to get the two top brackets and Top radiator bracket, oh well. I did also find a bag of seals and copper washers so it would be rude not to try eh: ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge All seals and copper washers swapped over, now at this point I am finding more and more bodges and cut corners on Buggsy making me wonder what else might be wrong, the egr has failed a while ago and the inlet manifold was filled thick black sludge, a quick clean and a few new bolts to replace some of the missing ones and I thought I’d give it a try. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge She runs ![]() 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

The current plan is to do it up as a mobile mechanics truck, my job role might be changing and depending what I move onto I will be doing some mechanics on the side, this wagon just came up at the right price, and so far I’m still well within the cost of buying a runner. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |
