Having seen Graftys modification I took a closer look at the vents
I took mine off and turned them around so instead of pointing at the floor they point up into the cabin They are angled so the passenger vent points towards the drivers body and vice versa The blower (as others have said) is surprisingly powerful This is not a final solution as they are not adjustable and the air blown may not be where you want it But it is a half way house until the new modified vents from Grafty arrive George please put me down for a set when the new machined batch is made - Thanks |

the laugh is, I was going to do the same boode, and turn the vents around. Until George came up with the idea. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Mine arrived this morning, thanks George
Click image to enlarge I fitted them this afternoon, which was a bit if a fiddle. This was partly because I was doing it in the semi-dark but also because I couldn't quite get the fixing holes to line up with those in the dash. The new parts seem to line up perfectly with the old, but I think that they could do with a little more tolerance on the hole widths. With the moulding being so thick and the holes being very snug for the mounting screws, there's virtually no wiggle room. The LR parts tolerances aren't quite so tight and I suspect that the holes were drilled by hand on an assembly line. Despite that small amount of faff, they are now fitted and work perfectly. It's slightly bizarre that there now seems to be more airflow that before and the rotating feature is brilliant. I haven't used them in anger yet as I haven't driven it far enough to get warm Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Thanks for the tips Darren, as I suspected LR tolerances come to bite! I'm away this weekend but when I'm home I'll fiddle with the dimensions for the next batch
That's the first thing that surprises me, how much power there actually is in the standard heater blower 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I'd like a pair please too, George. I'm in no rush either. It'll be interesting to see how they work under the TD5 air con blower unit.

Oops, scrub that the vents sit on moulded protrusions on the air con unit so they won't fit š
