As there has been interest in the lower vents I made for my Defender I have made a few extra sets to sell, there are currently two sets available but I can make more if the demand is there.
They fit Td5 and Tdi defenders and allow you to adjust the air flow 360 degrees when the lower vent is selected on the heater controls. This means that for the first time in a pre puma defender you can have air blowing at you if you so desire! When the vents are pointed at the windows they demist those pretty effectively as well, so save drilling the dash or fitting the plastic demisters on the top dash. These have been made to fit my 90 but hopefully will fit others without issue (we all know what LR build tolerance it like!) £30 per pair posted Pictures to follow 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Hi grafty do you have a close up to see the finish of the surface ? Did you alter the base size to cover the gaps from the early models you printed?

I haven't got a close up at the moment but I can take one. I didn't adjust the base size in the end as you don't notice it from the drivers seat and also it made printing much more difficult 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

George (grafty) sent me an early prototype version of these vents for me to have a go at printing on my printer. I've been using the vents for a few days and I can say they are fantastic!
As well as being able to direct heat where you want it, the vent design makes the jet of air from the vent seem much more powerful and directed than the standard outlets. The design is simple and doesn't look out of place on the dash. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade! Matt. '89 90 CSW with a 3.5 V8 conversion (WIP) - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic46809.html |

Thanks Matt
For those who were asking, I've taken some pictures of the vents that I posted today to give an idea if the finish. When installed you only really see the rotating nozzle Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |
