Wow! I'm blown away by how popular these are turning out to be Shocked

I'm going to call an end to the group buy from now. Anyone who has their name down prior to this post will get a pair at the discounted rate of £25.

The reason for this is that as the vents are so popular it's becoming too much for me to print. For this reason, today I approached an engineering company to lathe the nozzles to knock 4 hours print time off each pair of vents. (A 48 hour reduction in assembly time for just the sets people are interested in so far!)
I will still print the bases but the nozzles will be machined.

3D printing is really designed for low volume parts and as there will be now at very least 24 nozzles and 24 bases to print it isn't really low volume any more!

Those wanting the vents as pictured can have them as soon as I can get them printed (probably a week or so) those willing to wait until the machined nozzles arrive can have them instead.

The machined nozzles will be a smoother finish and have a slight radius on the bottom edge.

If those who have expressed an interest in the group buy could PM me with their preference then I'll begin printing some more sets up or I'll announce on here when the machined nozzles will be ready Thumbs Up

Hopefully you can understand my predicament. Thank you all for your interest and to those who have already bought sets Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Grafty requested that I do a review on these for him, After I bought them. I maybe the 1st to have bought them, but not sure.
Anyway, They are strongly made, and the quality is good. Infact the quality is better than some of the genuine land rover defender plastics.
How are they compared to orignal vent? I hear you ask.
They really do direct the hot air at you, rather than been at the floor pan and having that faint puff blowing at you from the orignal vents.
As shown

Since i fitted graftys new upgrade, it really does show you how much hot air is wasted with the original vent. Also it shows how powerful the defenders blower is too, with it now been directed to where you want it. I have to say the defenders heater blower and the heat itself really is strong. My legs and hands were getting nice and warm, infact i had to turn the heater blower off as my legs were getting hot! The nozzles don't get in the way of you legs either, and I am a short arse too. Very easy to adjust while driving, if you don't have a passenger, you can even direct the passenger one at you too. just to get some extra warmth. Thumbs Up
Also how he has designed these, he has managed to sort of split the air, so that the blower still blows on the floor pans too. So the power that is now equal going to you and to the floor pan, rather than the faint puff you used to get with the old vent. With graftys upgrade, i recon the air that now can be redirected to where you want it, might just demist the side windows too Thumbs Up

Conclusion, If land rover had done this simple upgrade to the defenders bottom vents, rather than putting that useless vents on, i recon the defender would have better marks on heating and warmth, with the directable vents.

So these are a must have, not a buy later. I wouldn't even call them an upgrade, more have a manufacture fix. cracking product and great idea grafty! well worth the money and a direct replacement, Thumbs Up
My parents are even eye balling a pair for their landy too. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
