I've not seen a kit but it's very simple to do, so long as you have a NNN ECU. The early ECU's require the expensive kit. 4 bits of wire, 2 switches for set/increase speed and resume settings then a third that turns it all off. You'll also need some ECU pins which Martin supplies via the site shop or can be found on eBay.
I used a Carling switch for the on/off and a Disco 2 switch mounted on the column like the photo Steve_C3 posted earlier. There's a wiring diagram here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic2974-15.html 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

Well I finally was allowed time to look at it. I tried running a new earth and it made no difference at all. When I tried it further it only disengages when the window reaches it full travel, either up or down, and you keep the button depressed. Glad to hear I'm not alone with this. I shall graciously admit defeat and live with it and accept it as a foible of the car and aftermarket cruise installation.

Those people that have used the Disco 2 cruise switch, have you just cut the plug off and used a different connector?

Also, how did you find mounting the D2 switch, I assume you use the sandwich plate shown in the picture?

Hi AJC, Yep I cut off the old connector and used crimps.
I'm sure there are different ways to mount it, I was in a hurry and used a 90' bracket with some self tappers, a few pics below. Couldn't figure out how to install the Disco on/off switch neatly into the dash so opted for a Carling switch to cut the power and prevent CC being engaged by accident. I threw away the rubber gasket that come with the D2 switch and screwed it to the bracket Click image to enlarge Chop a rough hole in the cowling with Dremel Click image to enlarge Attach bracket to lower cowling. The 2 parts of the cowling don't make a flat face so I shaved the mounting face of the switch to get a closer fit then tidied up the hole in the cowling. Click image to enlarge There is a small piece of the column that needed notching to clear the metal bracket, not a problem with a late TD5 dash but the early ones may interfere with the column mounted fog light switch. Also need to figure out where each wire goes as I've either missed something or the wiring diagram mentioned above didn't have enough wires in it. Ray
