Sounds like the light switch itself more than anything?
maybe pull the fuses, but it doesn't sound like a fuse issue. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

There isn't much you can do with one,
It's pretty much throw away and refit a new unit. Might be worth having a poke about with it in the daylight, Check the plug etc.... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Incredible self healing Defender strikes again! Tried the lights and all working fine.
I'll take it in for a new switch anyway as i don't want to get stranded in the future. |

Sounds still like the switch, it's probably cooled down now.
Best to get it replaced. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Might be worth running the lights via a relay to prevent the switch overheating again
There's a long thread on the subject here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic26097....ight+relay |
