Headlights and dash lights not working
Censored .... Just jumped in the car to pick up little Zed from a school thing and found the headlights not working. Also the dash lights come on with sidelights but not with headlights. Not sure about the rears as I was pushed for time.

Can anyone [ahem] shed some light on the matter?
It's a 2010 110 sw

Sounds like the light switch itself more than anything?

maybe pull the fuses, but it doesn't sound like a fuse issue. Rolling Eyes 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

There isn't much you can do with one,
It's pretty much throw away and refit a new unit.

Might be worth having a poke about with it in the daylight,
Check the plug etc.... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Incredible self healing Defender strikes again! Tried the lights and all working fine.

I'll take it in for a new switch anyway as i don't want to get stranded in the future.

Sounds still like the switch, it's probably cooled down now.

Best to get it replaced. Thumbs Up No Guts, No Glory.

Might be worth running the lights via a relay to prevent the switch overheating again

There's a long thread on the subject here
